How It Works: Onboarding New Assets
SOP-001: Minting a New Asset
Step 1: Data Entry
Isabella fills out a form with item details (name, SKU, price, materials) in the EdgeFlow UI.
Step 2: Workflow Trigger
The UI sends this data to the n8n Onboarding Workflow to process the new item.
Step 3: NFT Minting
The workflow submits a verifiable inventory event to the Hedera Testnet using the Consensus Service and records the message ID and timestamp for audit and tracking purposes.
Step 4: Data Storage
The workflow writes all item details, including the new on-chain identifiers, to the Google Sheet.
Result: A physical item is now a tokenized digital asset with an immutable blockchain record.

SOP-002: Processing a Sale

Item Identification
Isabella uses the EdgeFlow POS to scan an item's barcode or search for it by name or SKU.

Workflow Trigger
The POS sends the item's SKU to the n8n Sale Workflow for processing.

Data Retrieval
The workflow looks up the message ID and timestamp details in the Google Sheet database.

Blockchain Transfer
The workflow submits a transaction event to Hedera, recording the item’s handoff to the buyer with a verifiable timestamp—ensuring traceability and transparency in the purchase process.

The workflow updates the item's status in the Google Sheet to "Sold."
Result: An instant, verifiable, and transparent transaction with permanent blockchain record.
